Resupplying

South to North

  • Swamp Fox Passage: mile marker 43.9 at US-Alt17, follow the highway northeast 2 miles to Dollar General.

  • Lake Moultrie Passage: mile 4.8 has Bonn Grocery (this is a Gas station) or you can take a 2.8 mile detour to the town of Bonneau where there is a Dollar General.

  • Eutaw Springs Passage: mile 6.4 has Cross Food Mart (gas station). There are options for Dollar General side trips in this section if necessary. Mile 21.1 goes through Eutawville which has a Dollar General but the trail goes directly next to the Eutawville IGA (full grocery store). This section also passes a few gas stations, I found these to be the best sources of water (Note: the water source marked on the map at mile 18.5 was about a half mile south of the marked location and was a sketchy pond)

  • Santee Passage: The northern terminus of this passage goes through the town of Santee. The trail passes a Food Lion, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Santee Hardware, numerous restaurants, and hotels.

  • Lake Marion Passage has a few spots with small resupplies including Pack's landing and Carolina King Marina

  • Wateree to Fort Jackson Roadwalk: there is a Citgo Gas Station (this is your best chance for water heading north until you get to the water fountain in Fort Jackson).

  • Capital City Passage alternate route to the permit station has a Publix on route with fast food stops including Chipotle. ~1000ft off route is a Trader Joes

  • Capital City to Peak to Prosperity Roadwalk, passes by several gas stations and a Dollar General. Water is available at any of these locations but may also be available at a water spigot at the campground en route.

  • Peak to Prosperity to Newberry roadwalk there is a Dollar General and Food Lion on route

  • Newberry Passage has a Walmart, CVS, several fast food options, and plenty of gas stations

  • (The Lynch's Woods Passage is a side trail off the Newberry Passage so you don't have to worry about resupplying for there)

  • Enoree to Blackstock Battlefield roadwalk, if you walk 2.4miles west down the SC-49 instead of turning, there is a Dollar General (no options between Blackstock Battlefield Passage and Glen Springs Passage)

  • Hub City Passage goes past a walmart and some fast food options ~1 mile north of the southern end

  • USC upstate to Peach country roadwalk has a bar and a gas station just west of the university

  • Peach country passage goes through Inman and Landrum. In Inman, you can take small detours to Food Lion, etc. Landrum has an Ingles but it's farther away. It's a smaller town with cute restaurants and gas stations

  • Blue Wall Passage also passes through Landrum (see Peach Country passage). It also follows a short distance along the Asheville Highway where there are a few restaurants.

  • North of here are the mountains and it's a bit harder to find resupply options

  • Saluda Mountain Passage: a 3.8mile detour will take you to the town of Saluda where there is a Dollar General

  • Blue Ridge Electric CoOp Passage: just east of the eastern terminus of this section is a camp store with vending machines

  • Oconee to Eastatoe roadwalk: Farther west is the Marathon Gas Loco Mart which has picnic tables, Pizza, Hot Chicken, ramen, protein bars, tuna packets, pasta, mashed potatoes (typical crap hiking food). It's not a full on grocery store, but it does have some options. Farther east is the Lakeshop. It has very similar options except it also has muffin mix, cereal, and limited gear options (headlamps, cheap sleeping bags and tents, etc). It's essentially a cross between a camp store and a gas station. From Highway-11, if you turn south on Whitewater Falls Rd for 1.7miles, there is a Dollar General
